Feliway Spray 75 ml This
spray contains synthetic feline facial
pheromones. Pheromones are scent
chemicals released from scent glands on
various parts of the cat’s body. The
pheromones released when a cat facially
rubs are considered the “Friendly”
pheromones. They have a calming effect
on the cat and he tends to only facially
rub in areas where he feels comfortable
and calm. Feliway can be used in a
number of situations to help your cat
feel as if he has already facially
rubbed in particular areas in order to
help him feel less fearful or anxious.
It’s also a valuable tool in treating
inappropriate spraying problems. Cats
don’t tend to urine-mark where they
facially rub. Spray Feliway over the
areas where your cat has urine-marked to
help change his association with the
area. There are specific directions on
the bottle, but in general, you spray
the targeted areas twice a day for a
month and then once a day for a month.
Spray 8" up from the ground (which is
average nose height from the ground) and
4" away from the object. Only one little
squirt is needed.
Feliway is also useful to help your cat
during travel. Spray the inside corners
of the carrier about ½ hour before
placing your cat inside. Many
veterinarian clinics also use Feliway
for hospitalized patients by spraying
the inside corners of the cage.
Feliway is not to be sprayed directly on
the cat. Only spray objects in the
environment.
Feliway, combined with appropriate
behavior modification, may help in
situations such as:
• Move to a new environment
• Intercat aggression
• Inappropriate spraying
• Inappropriate furniture scratching
• Fear, shyness or timidity
• Travel
• Veterinarian visits
• Home renovation
• Suspicion of a new piece of furniture
in the home
• Addition of a new cat in the home
• Addition of a new person in the home

Petmate (reg) Fresh Flow Pet Fountain
A fountain that circulates water through
a filter into a reservoir. The fountain
holds a capacity of 50 oz. and is very
quiet. Cats tend to like drinking from
running faucets and this would be a
safer option than allowing Fluffy to
stand on the kitchen counter and drink
at the sink.

This product has been around as long as

only takes a very light touch though so
be careful not to be heavy-handed as you
brush. |

digestion and hairball control. Once
planted, your cat should have fresh,
healthy wheat grass in about 7-10 days. |
|
|

For-Bid 12 Doses
Do
you have a dog who enjoys visiting the
litter box for some snacking? As
unpleasant as it may seem to us, the
stools produced by cats can actually be
appealing to many of our canine
companions. Unfortunately, it’s an
unhealthy, unsanitary, and downright
unpleasant habit. Forbid can be
sprinkled on the cat’s food in order to
make the stool unpalatable. The
ingredients in Forbid work in the
digestive system to give the stool a
very unpleasant taste. |

Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract Cat Litter
This
very unique litter may be a big help in
dealing with inappropriate elimination
problems with your cat. It contains a
combination of herbs that attract the
cat to use the litter. I have
recommended it to many of my clients
when they’re dealing with cats who are
eliminating outside of the box. Results
have been overwhelmingly positive. This
is one of my favorite products.
Note: When dealing with a litter box
problem, make sure your cat is first
checked by the veterinarian to rule out
any underlying medical cause. |

|
Feline UV Light Stink Finder by Stink Free Products
If
your cat is spraying or urinating
outside of the litter box, you have to
find the areas in order to fully clean
and remove all traces of stain and odor.
This UV light will cause the urine to
fluoresce so you can find all of the
targeted spots. Use the light in a
darkened room and hold it close to
baseboards, furniture and other areas
where you suspect your cat has
eliminated. |
|
|
Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover
32 oz
 When
cleaning urine from floors, furniture or
carpet, you can’t use ordinary household
cleansers because they merely mask the
odor. The cat’s nose is very sensitive
and can detect an urine odor residue.
Enzymatic products, such as Nature’s
Miracle, neutralize the odor so it’ll be
completely removed. |
|
|
Rubbermaid PetsTM High Sided Litter Pan
  If
your cat scatters litter or if he tends
to overshoot when in the box, this
high-sided box is an excellent choice.
It has a low entrance on one side to
make it easy for your cat to enter and
exit. This is an excellent alternative
to covered litter boxes. I don’t
recommend covered boxes because many
cats feel too confined in there. Covered
boxes also are not a good idea in
multicat homes because it reduces escape
potential if one cat ambushes another
while in the box. The Rubbermaid box
large and tall enough so the area around
the box will stain cleaner but you won’t
have any of the down sides of a covered
box. |

Ultimate Scratching Post Ultimate Scratching Post
 Cats
need to scratch. In addition to
conditioning the claws, scratching helps
cats stretch their muscles. Scratching
is also a way cats mark territory and
express emotions. It’s a natural
behavior that all cats need to be able
to enjoy. To be effective, a scratching
surface needs to be rough in texture.
This scratching post has an ideal
texture to attract your cat and is also
tall and sturdy. Don’t use carpeted
scratching posts because cats don’t like
the texture and they often get their
nails caught in the carpet loops. When
choosing a scratching post, think of a
nail file. You wouldn’t want to use a
dull nail file, would you? Well, your
cat feels the same way. He also needs a
post that’s tall and sturdy enough so he
can lean his full weight against it when
reaching up to scratch. Place this post
in the area where your cat is currently
scratching. |

Da Bird Kit (toy, plus extra feather)
 This
is my all-time top toy recommendation to
my clients. It’s an interactive toy
consisting of a wand, string, and bird
feathers on the end. The feathers are
attached to a swivel device so when you
move it through the air, the feathers
spin around. The toy sounds and looks
like a bird flying through the air.
Interactive playtime should be done with
your cat on a daily basis and this is a
great toy to use for the sessions. Just
be sure and put the toy away in a closet
after the play session to prevent your
cat from chewing on the string.

Peek-A-Prize Toy Box
 When
you’re at work and your cat is home
alone, she still needs activity and one
way to add stimulation to her
environment is through sole toys that
inspire play. This sturdy wooden box has
multiple holes in it so your cat can
reach in to try to get the toys inside.
With my clients I also have them use it
as a puzzle feeder. Place pieces of dry
food inside the box so your cat can paw
at it to reach the food reward. Working
for food is a natural concept for cats
since they’re hunters. Every day, before
you leave for work, set up the
Peek-A-Prize with either some balls or
dry food inside. |

Cat Fun Tunnel 52" long x 10" dia

For added enjoyment, place toys or
treats in the tunnel for your cat to
discover. |

|
Play-N-Squeak Bugs Toy Style: Butterfly
 It’s
hard for a cat to resist the squeak of a
mouse and this little toy has a chip
inside that makes a terrific little
sound when touched or moved. Cats are
very attracted to the sound of prey so
this is a wonderful addition to your
kitty’s toy collection. |

Sticky Paws Roll
 This
is a transparent, double-sided tape made
specifically for use of furniture and
other objects where cats scratch. As
opposed to regular double-sided tape,
this product doesn’t leave a residue
when place on your sofa. The way to use
this for furniture scratching is to
place the Sticky Paws over the areas
where your cat is currently scratching
and then place a rough-textured, tall
and sturdy scratching post right next to
the area. When your cat goes over to
attempt scratching on the sofa, she
won’t like the sticky texture but then
she’ll see the great new option of the
terrific scratching post. |

|
X-Mat Pet Training Mat Original
 This
flexible mat with lots of rubber nubs on
one side is an ideal way to train your
cat to stay off the counter, table or
specific piece of furniture. Place these
mats on your counter and when your cat
jumps up, he won’t like the texture. If
there is a specific chair in your home
where you don’t want your cat to lounge,
this flexible mat can be placed on the
seat as well as being draped over the
top or arms of the furniture.
Outstanding product and my clients have
had terrific success with it. |

afternoon nap. |

Drinkwell Regular Fountain w/FREE Cleaning Kit
 If
your cat likes to drink from the faucet
or if she enjoys playing with the water
in her dish, set up a fountain for her
instead. It’s not a good idea to
encourage your cat to drink from the
kitchen or bathroom faucet because you
can’t always be there to turn it on for
her and she end up not drinking enough
water throughout the day as a result. If
you’re trying to train your cat to stay
off the counter, then allowing her to
drink from the faucet sends a mixed
message.
Some cats lose interest in the water in
their bowls because it starts to taste
stale. The running water in the fountain
stays oxygenated by the movement and
that keeps it tasting fresher.
For cats who have urinary problems, are
diabetic, or who are in renal failure,
it’s important that they drink adequate
amounts of water each day. A pet
fountain may be a way to encourage more
water consumption.
This fountain is easy to set up. Place
it on the floor and your cat will have
fresh running water so she can play and
drink. |

Pill Pockets for Cats
 If your cat is
prescribed medication and you have
trouble getting a pill inside him or are
fearful of putting your fingers anywhere
near your cat’s mouth, this is great
option. This tasty treat has a pocket
inside for you to hide the pill. My
clients’ cats have loved the taste of
the Pill Pockets. |
